Secretariat of Investment Council Supports and Promotes Implementation of Law “On Public Notification and Consultation”

One of the main business concerns evidenced by the Secretariat through meetings with stakeholders is the non-inclusion of the business in discussions and consultations prior to the drafting of legal initiatives.
Based on this, the Investment Council recommended in December 2015 the need for preliminary discussion and consultation with the business of the legal initiatives based on the provisions of Law No. 146/2014 “For the Public Notification and Consultation.” This Law foresees in detail the procedural rules that should be applied to guarantee transparency and inclusion of the public during policy and legislation development by the public institutions.
